Here in the United States, folks are getting on planes, trains, and busses and making their way over mountains and through woods. It’s a big travel day, not the biggest, but big enough - especially in this, the year after the holiday we spent sheltering at home (According to TSA over 2 million people were on airplanes yesterday up from 900,000 last year).
Honestly, just thinking about traveling, let alone gathering in small spaces with lots of breathing humans still makes me pretty nervous.
Maybe it does you too.
Or maybe you feel just fine about all that, but the nearly inevitable pre-holiday of Holidays RUSH is already kicking in. The pressure to go, see, visit, meet up, and the push to buy, buy, buy, buy might have already begun for you.
Whatever your state or the reason for it…Ansuz has some good advice today.
Breathe.
Breathe in through your nose and SLOWLY out through your mouth. Now. Go ahead. Wherever you are, and whatever you’re doing, just stop, get quiet for a moment, and focus on your breath.
