AUDIO MEDITATIONS
Here are three of my favorite meditation practices. They have been gifts in my life, and I’m happy to share them with you.
The Body-Scan is a classic mindfulness practice that not only helps you slow down and focus your mind on one thing at a time but also develops your somatic awareness and can help you learn to experience physical sensations without judgment. Many people I’ve shared it with find it very relaxing.
Pendulating Awareness is another in-body practice that teaches the mind to focus. It can be useful for those who struggle to stay present with uncomfortable emotions and sensations. and it’s also a fun way to develop somatic awareness.
Metta, or Loving Kindness is a beautiful Buddhist meditation. Rather than focusing on physical sensations, the focus here is on compassion. This meditation is a lovely way to start the day, and it’s particularly useful for building compassion for self and others.
